October 30th iCAPS ACH Changes and CAMS-ii
SITUATION: As some of you have been notified, iCAPS will be undergoing a Back Office Conversion on Friday, October 30, 2009. This conversion means that iCAPS will no longer be setting the Effective Date to be the same as the Settlement Date in the Batch Header 5 record in ACH receipt files. This may affect a Control-ACH (Back Office > Standard > Parameters > Control-ACH) parameter setting. iCAPS has been forcing the effective date to be the settlement date.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: If you receive your ACH from iCAPS, change the Control-ACH parameter, Posting Date Preference, to S-Settlement Date (if not already set) by October 30, 2009. This will continue to process your ACH as before their change.
NOTE: This action also makes it easier to balance the Corporate Account than using the Effective Date. Additionally, NACHA Regulations strongly recommend that you post using the Settlement Date.
Please address any questions regarding the Control-ACH parameter setting change to the CBS Issue Tracking System.
