This information is accurate as of August 12, 2009:

In regard to the Credit Card Act and The Path to Regulation Z Compliance and based upon CBS’ current understanding of the August 31st compliance requirements, please note the following:

  • Monthly Statement: Prior to the end of August, CBS will deploy and execute a program that will mark all open-end loan accounts so these accounts will receive a monthly statement. CBS will perform this task at no cost to the customer.

  • Next Payment Due Date: Prior to the end of August, CBS will deploy and execute a program that will change the next payment due date on all open-end loan accounts. This program will set the next payment due date to be the 28th day of the month. CBS will perform this task at no cost to the customer.

  • Payment Frequency: Prior to the end of August, CBS will deploy and execute a program that will alter/amend the scheduled payment frequency on all open-end loan accounts that have a weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payment frequency. This program will set the scheduled payment frequency to be the monthly. CBS will perform this task at no cost to the customer.

  • Scheduled Payment Amount: Prior to the end of August, CBS will deploy and execute a program that will convert the scheduled payment amount on all open-end loan accounts. This program will convert the payment amount on the loan to a monthly payment amount, meaning that weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payment frequencies will have the scheduled payment amount re-calculated to be a monthly amount. CBS will perform this task at no cost to the customer.

  • Due Date on the Member Statement: Prior to the end of August, CBS will deploy updated versions of the member statement programs that will print the next payment due date on the member statements for all loan accounts. This will also apply to the SPS programs for those customers that use the CBS statement processing services. CBS will perform this task at no cost to the customer.

  • Consolidated or Single Member Statement: All open-end loan accounts that have been marked for a monthly statement will receive a consolidated statement, meaning that these accounts will appear on the same statement as all other monthly accounts (if any). If the member does not have other accounts that receive a monthly statement, then the marked account will appear on a single statement. If the member has multiple marked accounts then all such accounts will be consolidated into the same statement.

Note: The aforementioned programming changes will be deployed and installed automatically by CBS. If your credit union needs to be excluded from all such programming changes, you must contact CBS (via support@camsbycbs.com). immediately. All requests must be written.
