Updated Draft Release Notice for CAMS-ii version 5.4.2
CAMS-ii version 5.4.2 will be released and available beginning next week, September 12-16, 2016. The updated DRAFT release notice contains important updates to the posting ACH to the General Ledger (G/L) in certain circumstances.
Please pay special attention to the section on Chart of Accounts Blocking feature that enables you to identify to which G/L accounts that the CAMS-ii ACH Posting system can directly post an ACH item. This has been added as a safety precaution that prevents an ACH item from getting posted directly into an unauthorized G/L account.
The Chart of Accounts Blocking section is highlighted in yellow on the attached release notice draft.
- Other important updates include:
- G/L ID Mapping- Resembles ACH Company ID Mapping except that instead of mapping inbound ACH account identifiers to a member’s account number, it maps inbound ACH account identifiers to a G/L account number.
- Enhanced Teller Login- Now, after a number of failed login attempts, the Teller ID is locked until the password is reset, and it limits the selection of previously-used
passwords. - Retry NSF Clears- Checks all of the ACH and Draft exceptions and tries to clear NSF items. It checks for normal funds available for overdraft processing including Courtesy Pay.
