Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 10 and CAMS-iiâ„¢
We have completed the compatibility testing of CAMS-ii on Microsoft® Windows® 10. Because CAMS-ii™ operates in an Internet Explorer® browser and Windows 10 includes Internet Explorer 11, CAMS-ii functions in Windows 10, using Internet Explorer 11.
We tested the standard devices that we recommend for use with CAMS-ii for check scanning, ID scanning, POS receipt printing, and so forth. Here are the results:
- Among the standard recommended peripherals, our testing found problems with only the Scanshell 800N ID scanner. Its drivers are not compatible with Windows 10.
As such, we cannot guarantee that the Scanshell 800N ID scanner will operate correctly in CAMS-ii in a Windows 10 environment. - The newer model Scanshell 800NR functioned in Windows 10. No problems were noted with Canon check scanners and signature pads, and Epson POS printers.
Your experience may differ depending on your computer hardware and whether you are upgrading an existing system or purchasing a new system with Windows 10.
We strongly recommend that you stagger the upgrade of your workstations to Windows 10Â -- leaving some workstations in the prior version of Windows -- so that you will have available workstations to operate in case you come across any upgrade issues.
Important: The default browser in Windows 10 is Microsoft Edge. It has a blue “e†icon similar to Internet Explorer icon. The icon that appears on the Windows 10 taskbar is for Edge. Microsoft Edge is not compatible with CAMS-ii. Internet Explorer 11 can be located via the Windows Start Menu.
If you upgrade a system, your current CAMS-ii shortcut should remain on your desktop.
To configure Internet Explorer 11, consult the CAMS-ii HELP at CAMS-ii How-To's > General Back Office > Configuring Internet Explorer for CAMS-ii Workstations.
Internet Explorer 11 must be set to Compatibility View for CAMS-ii operate correctly. To set Internet Explorer 11 to Compatibility Mode, or to check that Internet Explorer 11 is set to Compatibility View, please consult the CAMS-ii HELP at CAMS-ii How-To's > General Back Office > Setting Compatibility View in Internet Explorer 11,
