Windows Updates and File Transfers

Sometimes, a Windows Update will change your Internet Explorer browser settings. The browser changes may interfere with a file transfer in CAMS-ii.

Indicator: If one day you are able to perform a file transfer between the PC and the CAMS-ii server, and the next day you cannot perform the same file transfer, this indicates that the Internet Explorer settings may have been changed by an update. .. especially if a Windows update occurred in the meantime.

Possible Solution: Go the the CAMS-ii Help topic, Configuring Internet Explorer for CAMS-ii Workstations, at CAMS-ii How-To's > Back Office. Click the link for the configuration instructions based on whether your PC uses Internet Explorer version 6 or version 7. Check the settings to make sure that the settings are correct and make changes as instructed by the instructions.
