CAMS-ii version 2.8.0 Installed!
Last night, October 22, 2008, CAMS-ii version 2.8.0 installed on your CAMS-ii System. It has the tools for assisting you with the Red Flag Identity Theft program, among other important new features and changes. A couple of important changes to note:
1. This release added additional share and draft fields to support reporting accounts with
negative balances to the credit bureaus to support enhanced collections/charge-offs. This also allows for tracking negative share and share draft accounts via the Collections system.
It also allows for tracking negative share and share draft accounts that can be charged off and tracked via the Charge Off system.
IMPORTANT: The system marks all accounts with existing negative balances with the current batch processing date in the Date Account Became Negative text box in the
share record. This will occur only in negative accounts with Date Account Became
Negative text boxes that are blank. This will begin with the first batch processing
session after this release installs.
If you want to ensure the accuracy of the Date Account Became Negative text box,
type the actual date the account went negative in the Date Account Became Negative
text box in the share record. Otherwise, the system will automatically set the Date Account Became Negative as mentioned in the previous paragraph.
These accounts are moved to Collections once the number of days in the Number of
Delinquent Days Before Transfer to Collection setting in the Control-Loans parameters
is met.
2. This CAMS-ii release no longer creates the G/L posting files in a .csv format. If your credit union is using these .csv files, please contact CBS support via the CBS Issue Tracking System upon reading this notice.
