For Credit Unions that offer IRA Certificates:
A few credit unions have experienced situations where IRA certificates did not post dividends. At some point, the CAMS-ii IRA setup allowed a Pay Dividend At Maturity method as a Dividend Disburse Method. This has never been a supported method for IRA certificates. The New IRA Certificate Setup was changed early in 2007 to not allow this; however, a few credit unions may have IRA certificates set to this Dividend Disburse Method. This causes dividends not to be calculated/paid for those IRA certificates. To determine if you have any IRA certificates with this problem:
Go to Back Office >Standard > Reports >Accounts – IRA. Click Accept at the first screen. Select No for 'Print ONLY accounts with YTD Penalty Amounts' and click Accept. Go to the Document Retrieval Manager and view/print the IRA Data Report. The certificate section is the last section of the report. Use the END key to scroll up from the bottom or print just the last section of the report. Under the column heading D over M (meaning Disburse Method), look for any entries that have an empty space. If you have any entries with this column left blank and they are active IRA certificates, please contact CBS support via the Issue Tracking System.
