File Transfers

You may be experiencing problems with transferring files to your PC workstation from the CAMS-ii server for items such as PBF files, Credit Bureau files, etc. as indicated by CAMS-ii hanging with the Please Wait banner displayed on the screen. Many times, this means that part of the anti-virus software, usually called Worm Protection or Active X Protection, is blocking the the transfer. You can deactivate the anti-virus software before you perform the transfer and reactivate it once you have completed the transfer. Usually, you can deactivate/reactivate the anti-virus software by clicking on its icon in the system tray. Please consult the Help menu for the anti-virus software to learn more about deactivating/reactivating.

Many of the anti-virus packages have the ability to permanently turn the feature off; however, many of them turn the feature back on upon completion of their automatic updates.

If you have any trouble deactivating the anti-virus software, please contact the support for your anti-virus software. CBS Support can provide only limited support via the CBS Issue Tracking System. Please make sure that you tell CBS which anti-virus software you are using.
