The Internet Branching sites have been put back online. If you have any issues please call CBS.
Special Note: if you are setup as an Administrator or an Employee in the Internet Branching site your password has been changed by CBS. Administrators must call CBS for the new passwords.
Thanks for your patience on Monday, April 23rd as CBS was investigating continued Phishing attempts on various customers Internet Branching sites. Based upon customer feedback and intrusion attempts at various hosting sites, CBS made the decision to "take down" all customers Internet Branching sites until such time that we could further investigate these intrusion attempts and add additional security monitoring. This decision was done in the interest of all Internet Branching users in order to maintain the security of their Personal Identifying Information. Please continue to inform your members that your credit union will never request any ATM, Debit Card, Credit Card information nor any PIN, Password information via the Internet or email.
CBS intends to have ongoing security maintenance associated with the Internet Branching sites and we ask for your patience as we work to further strengthen the security. We will continue to minimize any down time and we will keep you informed of any scheduled and unscheduled maintenance that may be required. Please keep your members advised of these potential interruptions.
Thank you.

We continue to receive reports of the Phishing emails that involve credit unions supported by CBS. Please be advised that to the best of our knowledge, no compromise of personal information has occurred unless a member complied with the Phishing email and its requests for information. At that time, the information that the member provided might have been provided to an unscrupulous element.
Personal identifying information (PII) on the Internet Branching databases is encrypted and secured. The dual authentication login procedures recently placed on the Internet Branching sites also help further protect against unauthorized access to PII. Remember that emails and their addresses are publicly available. Unscrupulous elements use many devices to sniff for email addresses and then use the email addresses to phish for personal information.
At this time, we do not know who conducted the Phishing scam, but should we become aware of the source, we will report them to the appropriate authority. Your credit union should do likewise. You can also report these incidents to http://www.ic3.gov, a task force that investigates attempts to obtain PII fraudulently.
Should one of your members provide PII in response to one of these emails, we recommend that:
- You change the member's Internet Branching password immediately.
- You advise the member to check the Bill Pay section for any bill payments that may have been set up.
- You advise the member to monitor their transactions carefully for any that seem suspicious.
- You advise the member to contact their credit card vendor that their credit card number may have been compromised.
- You advise the member to place alerts on their files at the three major credit bureaus.
Commercial Business Systems recommends that you continue to advise your membership on the dangers of Phishing scams and other attempts to gather personal information via criminal means. Click here to learn more about Phishing. Read more about Phishing.
CBS can assist you by placing warnings on your Internet Branch's Login screen and your web site – if CBS manages it. Please send an email with wording that you want posted, and where you want it posted to support@camsbycbs.com. You can also use the Send eMail function on your Internet Branch site to send an advisory to your members that are registered for Internet Branching. The CAMS-ii Help contains instructions for using this feature.
Please address any further questions on this matter to support@camsbycbs.com.
