CAMS-ii “Screen Fade”

Some of you have noticed that the CAMS-ii screen fades whenever you press Enter or click Accept.

The screen fade occurs while the CAMS-ii workstation waiting for the CAMS-ii server to respond. This prevents users from clicking on anything else before the CAMS-ii server responds.

This change is intentional: It's intended to prevent lost information and system errors.

Opening New Windows or Tabs in CAMS-ii

We have been researching some reports of irregular CAMS-ii behavior, and we found that opening additional windows or tabs in Internet Explorer® causes the behavior. Because CAMS-ii makes extensive use of Internet Explorer and its features, we've always recommeded that you do not open another window or tab. This causes memory problems and adversely affects the operation of the CAMS-ii environment.

To ensure a proper user experience when running CAMS-ii, open a new Internet Explorer session by double-clicking the CAMS-ii icon on the PC desktop. This should work correctly because it starts a new session space (member area) and each session will work independently.
