New CAMS-ii Update: CAMS-ii Version 3.3.2
As we outlined in the document attached to the previous announcement, Reg E Updates for ATM/Debit Card NSF fees and Overdraft Privilege (ODP) NSF Fees, we are announcing that we are releasing CAMS-ii version 3.3.2 beginning this evening, April 9, 2010.
This update includes changes that allow you to record Opt-In elections for your members as you begin to prepare for the Reg E mandates concerning ATM/Debit Card NSF charges and ODP NSF charges. More changes, that we will announce later, will be included in later releases.
For the ATM/Debit Card NSF Opt-In:
In the Personal Data Record for the member, select the ATM/Debit Charge Opt In check box; the ATM/Debit Charge Opt In text box automatically fills with the date.
For those credit unions licensed for CBS’ Overdraft Privilege Feature (Not Overdraft Protection)
For the ODP NSF Opt-In:
1. In the Draft Data Record, type the date that the member chose to Opt-In for any/all ofthe four ODP (ACH, ATM, Draft, or POS) Opt-In Date text boxes.
2. Do not clear any of the ODP Allowed for …? check boxes unless you want ODP NSF charges to stop immediately for the ACH, ATM, Draft, or POS for that member.
3. If the member is currently set for 'Opt-In' (box is checked on ATM or POS) but has responded to Opt-out, leave the item checked and the date blank then the system will 'uncheck' the box automatically during end-of-day processing on August 13, 2010. This will give the member protection and allow the credit union to collect any fees through the mandated date.

Reg E Updates for ATM/Debit Card NSF fees and Overdraft Privilege (ODP) NSF Fees
Earlier this month those credit unions that are licensed for Overdraft Privilege received an e-mail with a PDF document attached that discussed our plans for the various member Opt-In and Opt-Out requirements for ODP fees.
We are posting that document here with changes that discuss changes that include most credit unions. All substantive changes are noted with [3/31/2010] before the change, with our plans for handling the initial canvassing of your members for ODP and ATM/Debit Card NSF fee opt-outs.

Please note that we are still receiving conflicting directions concerning the exact circumstances that require Reg E Opt-In/Opt-Out member elections.
We will keep you updated as we continue to finalize changes to CAMS-ii to accommodate the Reg E changes. We will have them completed in sufficient time to meet the deadlines.
Please address any further questions concerning this posting to the CBS Issue Tracking System.
