UPDATE: Archiving IRS Forms

This is an update from the previous posting about Archiving IRS Forms. It includes a new instruction sheet.

Once you have uploaded your IRS Forms for printing to Palmetto Cooperative Services as cited in the our IRS Forms Letter, dated October 18, 2013, or if you have printed the forms in-house, there's one more process that you must use to archive the forms so that they'll appear in the Document Retrieval Manager and are available to eDocuments.

This process archives ALL IRS forms for edocs, eImages, etc. Recommend that ALL credit unions generate Laser Forms because this stores ALL docs in CAMS-ii, so you can print these forms from the Document Retrieval Manager. By generating laser forms you are saving the information for future retrieval and archiving needs.

To archive the IRS forms only, you do not have to print the forms, just save them.

Use this function to process IRS member information to print IRS forms, archive them, and prepare them for electronic delivery via SDDS/eDocuments.

NOTE: Make sure that you have run an IRS Forms Proof List and corrected any exceptions in IRS Forms Maintenance BEFORE you generate any IRS forms.

The instructions for this process are available at the link below:

Please submit any questions about these instructions to your Support Center.

IRS e-File Submissions to CBS

The document that went to credit unions concerning IRS File Transmittals to CBS included a section that specified February 10th to start submitting IRS electronic files (e-files) to CBS for transmission to the IRS.

We have changed the starting date for IRS e-file submissions to CBS until February 17th with February 24th as the final date for e-file submissions to CBS, as noted in this updated extract from the IRS File Transmittal Instructions that appears below:

IRS Transmittal e-File

We changed the starting date so that you can make sure that your electronic file submissions to CBS have been verified for accuracy, meaning that the forms have gone to your members and any errors have been corrected BEFORE submitting the files to CBS.

Please direct any questions about this posting to your support center.
