CAMS-ii Tips & Techniques: Changing the CAMS-ii Menu Blues
Tired of the overwhelming sea of blue on your CAMS-ii screens? Add some color to your day and the CAMS-ii menus and features.
Did you know that the Level One menu could be colorized? In Back Office > Standard > Parameters > CAMS-ii System Properties, look for the properties in the category color. There are many, but here are some of the most common.
For the Level One menu, five system properties, color_menu_level1_item1 through color_menu_level_item5, allow you to add color to basic platforms, so that they are more distinct and easier to tell apart.
On the Member Function screens, where Account Balances and Member data are displayed, these color options exist:
• You can highlight labels in the Common Area section of the Member Balances screen section with a series of properties named, memdis_color1 through memdis_colorXX where XX is the maximum number of configured labels.
• You can highlight the names of co-owners and co-signers using the color_background_co-owned_membal and color_background_co-signed_membal system properties.
• A recently added system property, color_background_NDAD_membal, allows you to highlight the No Disburse After Date under a loan description.
• The status phrases—closed, collection, and so forth--located in the left-most column of the Member Balances tables are color configurable in Back Office > Standard > Parameters > Member Balance Indicators.
• With the 4.7.0 release, now you can highlight the Search button to make it stand out with the system property, search_button_color.
